The Legacy Action and Royal Development Initiatives (LARDIN) successfully convened a dynamic Panel Discussion on Premarital Health Screening in Cameroon today.

Held under the theme “Knowledge. Prevention. Protection. A Strong Foundation for a Lifelong Journey Together,” the event brought together healthcare professionals, advocates, and community members for an open conversation on building healthier families through informed choices.

Key topics discussed included:-
- Premarital health screening and why it matters.
- Hemoglobin Electrophoresis and Genotype Testing for Sickle Cell awareness.
- Hepatitis B Screening.
- HIV Testing and Counseling
- Building healthy, lasting marriages through health education.

Panelists emphasized that premarital screening is not meant to create fear or obstacles to marriage. Instead, it empowers couples with knowledge to protect their health and make confident decisions for their future.
LARDIN sincerely thanks our moderator, esteemed panelists, volunteers, and all participants who joined us in person and online. Your participation made this event a success.
We remain committed to reducing preventable health challenges and strengthening communities across Cameroon. Because at LARDIN, healthy families build healthy communities.
