The Legacy Action and Royal Development Initiative (LARDIN) successfully hosted a summit on food security, bringing together farmers, youth, government officials, and development stakeholders to strengthen local food systems.
The summit created a platform for learning, sharing, and practical support for farmers across the Southwest Region.
Keynote & Workshops
The keynote address was delivered by Mr.Joshua, who led an interactive workshop on how farmers can leverage digital and market spaces to better market themselves, access opportunities, and get the full benefits of their work.
Inspiring Success Stories
Participants also heard from guest speakers who are transforming agriculture locally:
- Mr. Bime Coffee, who shared his success story in the agricultural value chain.
- Mr. Tsayem Tido'o Flaubert, a cassava farmer who cultivates, processes cassava into flour, brands and markets his products — a model of value addition for local farmers.

The summit brought together a diverse group of farmers including Wututu farmers (predominantly tomato farmers), Batoke farmers, and members of the Dynamic Youth Farmers group.

Direct Community Support
As part of its commitment to action, not just talk, LARDIN distributed tomato seedlings to the Wututu farmers and corn seeds to farmers in general to support the upcoming planting season.
Looking Ahead
The summit was a great success and reaffirmed LARDIN's commitment to contributing to food security in Cameroon. During the event, LARDIN presented its new food security project — an innovative initiative designed to run for the next 3 to 5 years.
