Event Report: Strengthening Response to Gender-Based Violence.

On January 22, 2026, The Legacy Action & Royal Development Initiatives (LARDIN) participated in the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) event held at the Holiday Inn Resort in Limbe. The event, "Advocacy towards the enactment of a law on GBV for a more comprehensive response to GBV cases in the context of UNSCR 1325," aimed to promote gender equality and healthy communities.

The activity focused on Capacity Strengthening of Major Stakeholders (Health, Legal, Security, and Survivors of GBV) on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and their Role in managing GBV cases. LARDIN joined other stakeholders to engage and connect, emphasizing the importance of collective action against GBV.

The event highlighted the need for a comprehensive response to GBV cases and advocated for the enactment of a law to strengthen protection for victims. As stated, "Let's continue to be the voice to the victims, help strengthen and protect our communities for our future generations. Let's make an impact!"
