On March 6, 2026, The Legacy Action and Royal Development Initiatives (LARDIN) conducted an educational outreach program at Presbyterian Girls Secondary School (PGSS) in Limbe, Cameroon. The outreach focused on raising awareness among students on Gender-Based Violence (GBV), drug abuse, and mental health.

The program brought together students, educators, and community stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions on issues affecting young people today. The Sub-Delegate for Women Empowerment and the Family, Ms. Ewang Eyiang Mirabel, was present during the outreach, demonstrating institutional support for initiatives that promote youth protection, gender equality, and community well-being.

During the program, Ms. Ewang Eyiang Mirabel presented the theme for the 2026 International Women’s Day and delivered an introductory talk on Women’s Empowerment and the role of the family in promoting equality, supporting young girls, and building stronger communities.

During the session, LARDIN facilitators educated the students on recognizing different forms of gender-based violence, understanding the dangers and consequences of drug abuse, and the importance of maintaining positive mental health. Students were encouraged to speak openly about challenges they face and to seek help when necessary.

The outreach session was interactive, allowing students to ask questions, share experiences, and learn practical ways to protect themselves and support their peers in creating a safer and healthier school environment.

This initiative was implemented in collaboration with the Goofirm Foundation, whose partnership contributed to the success and impact of the program.

LARDIN extends its sincere appreciation to the administration and staff of Presbyterian Girls Secondary School for providing the opportunity to engage with the students and for supporting this important awareness initiative.

This outreach reflects LARDIN’s continued commitment to empowering young people through education, health awareness, and social protection programs, while promoting safer and healthier communities.
