On World Health Day, Legacy Action and Royal Development Initiatives joined the global movement “Together for Health — Stand with Science” by conducting a community sensitization campaign in New Market, Limbe, Cameroon. The initiative distributed informational flyers and engaged traders on how proper waste management protects individual and public health and contributes to global well‑being.

Activities
Impact
The teams reached hundreds of people from different communities, raising awareness about how household and communal waste practices affect respiratory, waterborne and vector‑borne illnesses locally and contribute to broader environmental harm. By linking practical waste‑management steps to measurable health benefits, the campaign promoted science‑based behavior change and strengthened community ownership of public health.

Call to Action
Legacy Action and Royal Development initiatives urge market women and men, community members, local leaders, and health stakeholders to:
- Adopt and promote proper waste segregation and disposal at home and in public spaces.
- Support local clean‑up activities and community education.
- Back policies and programmes that provide infrastructure for safe waste management.
