LARDIN Leads Community Cleanup Campaign at Isokololo, Limbe on the 25th of May, 2026._Protecting Our Environment Through Proper Waste Management_

As part of LARDIN ’s commitment to environmental protection, our team was out today, *May 25th, 2026*, at *Isokololo, Limbe* for a community cleanup campaign.

The exercise brought LARDIN staff together with community members to clear streets, unblock drainages, and create awareness on keeping our environment clean and healthy.

A key focus of today’s campaign was *proper waste management*. We engaged residents on the importance of separating trash at the source:

1. *Biodegradable/Organic waste*: Food scraps, leaves, peels - these can be composted

2. *Non-biodegradable/Degradable waste*: Plastics, bottles, nylon - these should be collected separately for recycling

Separating waste reduces blocked gutters, minimizes disease, makes collection easier, and protects our rivers and coastline here in Limbe.

“Protecting our environment is protecting our future,” a LARDIN representative shared during the campaign. “When each household takes responsibility to sort their waste, we build a cleaner, safer community for everyone.”

*Join the movement: Clean your compound. Sort your waste. Protect Limbe.
