On Saturday, August 29, 2026, The Legacy Action and Real Development Initiative (LARDIN) carried out a powerful Waste Management Sensitization Campaign at Ajakajo Street in Limbe!

Anchored on our core theme, "Use Less, Live Better," our team and passionate volunteers took to the streets to educate, inspire, and drive sustainable environmental practices within the community.

What We Did

Our approach was practical, interactive and community-centered:

1. Door-to-Door & Street Sensitization
Our team engaged directly with shop owners, residents, and passersby on the importance of proper waste disposal, reducing single-use materials, and maintaining clean surroundings. The conversations were open, relatable and focused on simple actions everyone can take.

2. Educational Poster Distribution
To ensure long-term awareness, we posted visual educational posters featuring clear "DOs and DON'Ts" of waste management across public spaces and distributed them to local shop owners. The posters donated by our partner remain as constant reminders for proper waste practices.

3. Community Engagement & Practical Guides
We distributed practical guides illustrating how simple daily choices — like reducing plastic waste, segregating waste at source, and choosing reusable options — can transform the cleanliness and health of our neighbourhood.
