On August 28, 2026, LARDIN empowered 60 children at the Limbe I Council Hall with school kits including 60 school bags, 60 rulers, 60 pencils, 60 sharpeners, 120 erasers and 50 pens, alongside sensitization on GBV, health and environment.
On August 28, 2026, the Legacy Action and Real Development Initiative (LARDIN) successfully held its Back-to-School Giveaway Event at the Limbe I Council Hall under the theme: "Every Child Deserves a Chance to Learn: Equipping Children for a Brighter Future."
The event aimed to support vulnerable children and families as they prepare for the new academic year.
The event was graced by:
- The Mayor of Limbe I Council
- The Delegate of Small and Medium Size Enterprises
- The Entire LARDIN Team
- Parents and Children - our key beneficiaries
The Mayor and other dignitaries also had the opportunity to address the children, encouraging them on the importance of education and hard work. It was indeed a huge success.
Impact & Materials Distributed:
A total of 60 children were reached. Each child received learning materials to support their return to school:
- 60 school bags
- 60 rulers
- 60 pencils
- 60 sharpeners
- 120 erasers
- 50 pens
Sensitization Session:
Beyond the distribution, we used the opportunity to sensitize the children on Gender-Based Violence (GBV), personal health, and the relationship between health and the environment.
